Boston Three Party (thanks Scott Van Pelt…)

In Uncategorized on May 13, 2009 at 2:05 pm

Last night was one of those night’s when you remember why you love living in Boston. And if you don’t live here, for a second maybe you wished you did.

The KG-less Celtics rallied back from a 14 point fourth quarter defecit to beat Orlando and go up 3-2 in the series.

Who saw that coming?

The Red Sox came back to beat the Angels, 4-3, on a Varitek – Varitek – RBI double in the 9th.

Definitely didn’t see that coming.

And then you had the Bruins. Ohhh, the Bruins. They went into the RBC Center in Raleigh last night and silenced what some people call the “loudest arena in the NHL.” Unfortunately for those Canes fans who hang their hat on that label, I’m pretty sure that tomorrow night at 8, we’ll all remember which building is actually the loudest.

In any case, last night was just one of those nights where everything went right for the hometown squads. The shots fell, the bats got hot late, and the wristers found the back of the net. And for Boston fans, the beers were a little colder and the steaks a bit more tender than usual.

All in all, it was a good night for the Cradle of Liberty.
